Kensuke's Trip to Crucial Crew

On Wednesday the Kensukes visited Crucial Crew. The trip involved taking part in scenarios which taught us about various aspects of personal safety.
The Lifewise centre in Rotherham is a set, a little like Coronation Street. This is the local pub!
The police taught us about peer pressure and shoplifting.

In the pub, The Corner group spoke to us about the effects of alcohol and under-age drinking.

We visited a Magistrates Court. We all took on different roles. BW was being put on trial for committing a crime. We decided he should be sent to jail. The maximum sentence for a child aged 10 and over is 2 years.

We visited the internet cafe. We made a safe social network profile and discussed internet safety.

RK was the bus driver! We talked about keeping safe on the bus.

Safe at Last gave us advice about dealing with dangerous situations with members of the public. It was nice to see Miss. Jeffery again!

The final scenario involved road safety. It takes 23m to stop when driving at 30mph!

Hello.

We love to hear from people interested in our school, and our children want to know what you think of their work!

However, any comments will be moderated by the staff at Walkley Primary School before they are uploaded on our Blog, so it might take a little while before we publish them. Please be patient and thankyou for commenting!
