Thank you for your comment JG.

"Hi, It has been a great idea to provide the children with the English and Math books. They have the opportunity to practice at home and I can say that my daughters are happy to use them.

Greetings from Mexico, where I am right now on work travel for 2 weeks. I will take with me some Sun and heat on my way back to Sheffield."

And I hope the sun arrives in time for half term!

WOW!!!!!!!
Well done Kensukes!
I am so proud of you for showing how much you care about other people. The donations you made for the Sheffield Archer Project were very generous and will help to improve the lives of others.

Reduce, reuse, recycle!

In our creative curriculum topic we are learning about reduce, reuse, recycle. We will be analysing this song by Jack Johnson and then creating our own verses.
We will be performing our own raps in class!

Greetings from the Kensukes!

Dear world,

We have been learning about the Earth, moon and sun in science. Also, in ICT we have been making power point quizzes about space. We are hoping to share some of these with you on the blog soon.
It is harvest time and we are trying to collect tinned food and packet food for the Archer project in Sheffield. In choir we have been learning harvest songs.
At the moment we are reading a book called Kensuke's Kingdom and that is why our class is called the Kensuke class. We are designing a magical room around this book.
We would really like to have lots of views. Please tell all your friends and family about our blog spot.

Photograph permission

Some photos have been removed from the Harry Owen post, this is because some children have not returned the permission forms giving permission for photos to be used on the blog.

If you have not returned the form but do give permission for your child's photo to be published please see the school office.

Thanks
Mrs Leverton

Harvest time.

This year we are collecting items to support the Sheffield cathedral Archer project who work with the homeless in Sheffield.
We are collecting tinned food (with ring pulls), dried goods such as cereals, pot noodles, pasta, rice, sugar, flour, tea, biscuits, coffee etc. Also, toiletries such as deodorant (spray only), shower gels, shaving foam, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste.

This is the Kensuke donation so far. We need your help to make the collection grow!
Items need to be in school by Thursday 18th October.
Thank you
Mrs. Leverton

Y6 Homework

I have been really pleased with the response we have had to the first activities set in the homework books. Nearly every child completed the English tasks. Keep it up Kensukes!
The maths books are currently out of stock but we expect to receive them soon. Until then I will continue to post tasks to the blog which the children can access.
